Happy Saturday, Missians!
Hope everyone's enjoying their day so far. It's bright and sunny and mild here--a great day for being out and about. I actually got some Fall and Halloween decorations for the house. It felt good to come out for a little while, though I'm still not 100%. But we're going with it.
D and I had a good show last night. Our topic was a heavy one and certainly wasn't very much fun to research, but nonetheless, it was an episode we needed to do. If you missed last night's episode, our topic was about animal abuse--its forms, causes, and things we can do to stop it. Of course, animal abuse is a very broad topic, so we will likely have to do a part two to explore all the aspects that we didn't get to cover.
Make sure you check out our Facebook page for some useful links concerning this serious problem. If you were unable to listen last night, we are playing the episode again today at our normal time of 5PM, CT. This is one you won't want to miss. Remember animals have no voice of their own, so it is up to us to be a voice for them. Let's learn to recognize all the signs of animal cruelty, not just the overt, obvious forms (such as beating, maiming, torturing, or killing an animal), but also the less obvious forms such as neglect. Remember not properly providing an animal with adequate food, water, shelter, and protection from extreme weather conditions also constitutes abuse. To learn more about less obvious forms of animal cruelty, check out today's show or check out our Facebook links:

That's all for now, people. Let's just remember to take care of and help all our animal companions. They share this Earth along with us. May we always strive to treat them with dignity, love, and respect.
