Hope everyone is having a Tortie-riffic Tuesday so far. I just need to vent for a moment about a story that made me both sad and angry. Sunday, I ran across a story about a cow that had to be put down after being pelted with over a dozen softballs. It happened in Phoenix, AZ--and it's happening in too many places all over the world. The family found the cow with severe injuries and it was surrounded by softballs. The injuries were so severe, the vet feels that a potato launcher was likely used to fire the softballs. This just makes me angry. Why would anyone choose to hurt an innocent, defenseless animal? And this was a pet cow. It wouldn't have made a difference even if it wasn't a pet. No animal deserves to be hurt, tortured, or killed by ignorant, mean spirited people. This needs to stop. I won't go on a long tirade about it. I just find this kind of stuff disheartening. But that's why we do what we do here at The Missy Show. We need people to be educated about the soul-tarnishing effects of animal cruelty and to encourage people to speak out and report it when they see it.
