Happy Good Friday, Missians!
It's Easter weekend, and we're kicking things off with another Friday Pet Trivia blog post! To keep things in stride with the Easter theme we started with yesterday's Featured Pet post, today's trivia question will also center around the subject of rabbits and Easter.
But before I reveal the question, I want to make sure to state that rabbits are not just pets to be gotten around Easter time, and then forgotten. Sadly just like with black cats at Halloween time, many people want to get a rabbit just because it's popular to do so during Easter season--only to end up taking them to a shelter, (or worse), once they realize it's more responsibility to have a rabbit than they anticipated.
So please do your research before buying, or (preferably adopting), a rabbit. Make sure you are able to handle everything that comes along with being a rabbit pet parent. Rabbits can make great pets. Just make sure they would be a good fit for your family and that you give them the proper love and care they need and deserve.
Okay. I'm off my soapbox now. Back to our regularly scheduled programming...
Today's pet trivia question is: How did rabbits come to be associated with Easter? You get bonus points if you can answer about chicks too.
If you think you know the answer, you can hit us up on our Twitter page at www.twitter.com/missyshow, or on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/missy.show44.
Or you can always wait and listen to tomorrow's Missy Show ("All About Bunnies"), for the answer at www.blogtalkradio.com/shesatortie.
Until tomorrow,
