Happy Friday, Missians!
Guess what today is? It's National Dog Day! And you know what that means? It means we should be celebrating all dogs today! Mixed breeds. Pure breeds. Family dogs. Police dogs. Homeless dogs. Shelter dogs. Service dogs. All dogs.
Dogs are such generous and pure souls who give so much of themselves to their human companions each and everyday. They are selfless and offer their love easily to anyone willing to receive it.
I say we take today to pamper our pooches. Give them extra treats. Take them for a fun car ride. Go outside and play catch. And even better, for those of you who've done your research and feel ready to adopt, why not give a shelter dog, a much needed chance at a new life? Even taking time to volunteer at a local shelter could bring so much joy to a downtrodden pup in desperate need of some love and attention.
So please take time out of your day today to celebrate our special canine friends; and don't forget to join us on tomorrow's episode of The Missy Show, "Animal Fostering: The Home Until Home Episode" at 5pm Central.
