The Joy of Giving: Urgent Pets on Death Row

Happy Wild Out Whiskers Wednesday, Missians!

Thanks for checking out another edition of Missy's Blog; and welcome to our first "Joy of Giving" blog post, honoring those special animal organizations giving of their time, energy, and resources for improving the lives of animals.  Today's Featured organization is Urgent Pets on Death Row in NYC.

This charity is dedicated to saving the lives of animals on "death row" in New York City shelters.  I think it's so wonderful that these dedicated individuals tirelessly get the word out through social media and other sources about dogs and cats in shelters who are about to be put to sleep.  These men and women are truly heroes to these animals.

Urgent Pets in their own words:

"Urgent Pets on Death Row (Urgent) is an all-volunteer, 501c3 charity, created in 2010, to advocate for the thousands of adoptable dogs and cats that are needlessly killed each year by Animal Care & Control of New York City (ACC). Urgent was created to help advocate for NYC’s Death Row dogs and cats".
