Ready for Scary? The Monsters of March

Happy Wednesday, animal lovers!

Hopefully everyone survived Fat Tuesday and are ready to slow things down a bit as we begin Lent.  After so much partying, I know it can be a challenge to calm the pace and return to reality.

So, that's why we're back again with another edition of Missy's Blog, to help you weather the come-down.  We're still your premiere source for fun and informative pet and animal topics, (although in the months of March and May we shake things up a little bit)--and by shaking things up, I'm speaking of our "Monsters of March" and our "May Mythical Beasts" posts.  And though most of the time we deal with typical animal "creatures" (mammals, reptiles, and the occasional arachnid), in March and May we explore different types of "creatures".

In May, we try to focus on creatures of the mythical variety, and in March we go "full-on monster quest" (though of course these categories sometimes overlap).  Some mythical creatures are considered monsters, and most monsters are considered to be nothing more than myths.

For the purposes of today's post, we place our focus on March and the monsters thereof!   As promised, here is your upcoming Monsters of March blog post schedule.

Monday, March 2nd:  Shadow People

Monday, March 9th:  The Van Meter Visitor

Monday, March 16th:  The Dog Man

Monday, March 23rd:  Zombies

Monday, March 30th: The Devil's Highway: Route 666

The last entry isn't about a monster per se, but has been associated with many accidents and a lot of supposed supernatural happenings.  So, I thought it would be interesting to explore some of the incidents that have allegedly gone on, on this desolate stretch of spooky highway.

So, there you have it...

Your Monsters of March schedule is a go!

I'll see you all back here on Monday, March 2nd to discuss our first monster.  Until then,

This is your host, J,
signing off...

Beware the Monsters of March!
